CD REVIEW

A GIFT FROM JANIE
by Janie Horton
Take the innocent smile of a baby, the feeling you get when your dreams come true, and the joy of the connection with Spirit...and thats what this reviewer felt after listening to Janie Hortons marvelous new album, A Gift from Janie.
Janie Horton, a superb pianist, plays her own soothing, sensual, sensitive and spiritual compositions. Accompanying her on this transportive tour-de-force is Rick Ruskin on guitar, Daniel Kobialka on violin, and Joan Jeanrenaud on cello. The result is an album brimming with talent, love, serenity...and a path to renewal.
There are ten selections on A Gift from Janie and on each and everyone, Janie softly encourages peace, reflection, and dedication. Her piano stylings are like brush strokes on a masters canvas, all merging, co-habiting, and making love with the others. What you hear, then, is a musical portrait of heaven.
Janie Horton wears many hats...and they all fit perfectly. Not only is she a fine pianist and composer, she is a dancer, arranger, and producer. Her gifts are special and many of her concepts have been embraced by the medical and therapeutic communities.
From this reviewers perspective, though, the reason for listening to A Gift from Janie is simple...its wonderful. This reviewer sat and listened, enthralled with the beauty of the music. It is so good, the fifty-three minute duration seemed to take only three.
A Gift from Janie is a wonderful gift. Janie Horton has given us a tribute to humankind, and all that is good in our lives!
